Established on October 12, 2004, Aami Goenkar aims to connect Goans residing both within and outside Goa, fostering a sense of unity and cultural pride. The organization engages in various activities, including cultural programs, social welfare initiatives, and advocacy on issues affecting the Goan community. Notably, Aami Goenkar has organized cultural performances showcasing traditional Goan dance, music, and attire, such as during the Goa State Formation Day celebrations at Maharashtra Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. Additionally, the group has taken active stances on political matters, exemplified by their condemnation of a letter from then-Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to Karnataka regarding the Mhadei river dispute. Through these efforts, Aami Goenkar strives to uphold and celebrate the rich heritage and identity of Goa.
