Scheme for Rural Artisans

Description

This scheme facilitates continuous interacting sessions at different levels in order to focus on policy issues, sharing of experiences of different artisan groups so as to evolve strategies that can enable sustainable development of Goan handicrafts.

Expenditure is towards interstate travel by 2nd class railway or KTC buses and DA at Rs. 200 per beneficiary per day in A1 class cities and Rs. 150/- per day for other cities for a duration of 10 to 12 days to a total limit of Rs. 80,000/-.

This year with the allocation of funds/budgetary provisions we will start the above mentioned scheme.
